The 25 Best Vegan Places in Paris: Restaurants, Bakeries, & Cafés
Paris, and France as a whole, often gets a notorious bad rep for not having many vegan places in Paris – but as someone who has been vegan for almost a decade and has been in Paris for several years now, I can tell you that it’s far from the truth.
Aujourd'hui Demain; July 2025
With nearly 50 fully vegan places to eat in Paris according to HappyCow, rest assured – you’ll never go hungry on a plant-based diet while in Paris, and the options to choose are endless.
After having lived in Paris for several years, I’m going to share my curated list of my absolute favorite vegan places in Paris – from restaurants, causal eateries, bakeries, coffee shops, and more.
Is Paris Vegan Friendly?
While there are lots of vegan places in Paris these days, as a whole – Paris and France are not vegan friendly places. The average French restaurant usually has little to no vegan options, as much of traditional French cuisine is made with very rich ingredients such as cheese, butter, and milk.
What Can I Eat Vegan at a French Restaurant in Paris?
If you’re at a traditional brasserie in Paris, your choices for vegan food will be limited, but not impossible – you can order a salade verte (plain green salad), ratatouille (tomatoes, eggplant, and zucchini in tomato sauce), or classic french fries which are almost always fried in sunflower oil.
Before we dive into my curated list of the best vegan places in Paris, below is a quick recap of some French words to know if you’re going to be traveling as a vegan in Paris:

Absolute Must-Try Vegan Places in Paris
I’m not one to eat out often, meaning that when I do – it’s a treat.
For special occasions like my birthday or a new job offer – these are my top 5 favorite vegan places to eat at in Paris.
1. Aujourd’hui Demain
Situation in the 11th near Chemin Vert, Aujourd’hui Demain perfectly blends coffee shop vibes with delicious vegan dishes.

Often accommodating their menu for seasonal ingredients, my favorite things about Aujourd’hui Demain include how they offer big portion sizes for a reasonable price, American-style sweet coffee drinks, and offer an amazing vegan-concept store within the restaurant.
Not to mention, their desserts are almost always a hit too – all of the cakes are delicious. This is one of those vegan places in Paris you can never go wrong.

3. B.Better
Paris isn’t known for having the best Mexican or Latin cuisine – as French people often refer to “burritos” as “tacos”, and lack sufficient seasoning or spices to replicate an authentic taste.
Luckily, there’s an incredible vegan place in Paris that offers delicious, vegan Mexican-style dishes – B.Better.
Mushroom burger at B.Better in Paris; August 2024
Located in the charismatic St. Paul district of Paris, B. Better is one of my ultimate favorite places in Paris for a few reasons. For starters, the ambiance couldn’t be cuter – it’s your typical hole-in-the-wall place that you would never know exists if you didn’t already know to look for it.
Furthermore, B. Better has always kept the same staff – something that is rare with any restaurant or coffee shop in Paris. The waiters here couldn’t be nicer, always accommodate for English, and offer incredible food.

1. Le Bols de Antoine
Located in the underrated neighborhood of Belleville (link to best neighborhoods), Le Bols de Antoine is a coffee shop and café designed for locals in this artsy neighborhood of Paris – with sweeping views of the Eiffel tower and the rest of the city nearby.

Another popular vegan burger place in Paris, Naked Burger hits the spot for when you want a basic, but tried-and-true vegan burger.
It can be a little on the pricier side for burgers, but if you opt for one of their formulas – it can be a vegan junk food day that satisfies your cravings to a tee!

Just beware, this truly is a “high end” vegan dining experience in Paris – meaning it’s best to come dressed on the nicer side, as even the outside seating is adorned in white table cloths.
Address: 109 Rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75009 Paris

3. Le Potager du Charlotte
A crowd favorite amongst both tourists and locals, Le Potager du Charlotte mixed approachable cuisine with ambitious ideas – offering unique, flavored dishes while still remaining casual enough for an after-work spot to meet friends.
I took my younger brother, also plant-based and very picky, to Le Potager du Charlotte – and he loved it!
Address: Two locations in Paris (favorite location at 21 Rue Rennequin, 75017 Paris)
Price: €€
Pro-tip: In Paris, you should usually make a reservation for dinner anywhere you go as its cultural and customary, especially on weekends – but I find at Le Potager du Charlotte, it’s important to make a reservation even on a weekday. We went on a Tuesday night, and the place was packed!
4. Le Potager du Marais
I know that Le Potager du Marais is often a hit-or-miss vegan place in Paris amongst locals, but in my honest opnion after living here for years – this is the best place in Paris to come if you want vegan French food.
From French-style salads, seitan dishes, cheese platters, and chocolate mousse – Le Potager du Marais is the place to be. I have never ordered anything bad from here!

Pro-tip: Don’t miss out on the vegan French onion soup or the chocolate mousse – both are decadent and to-die-for beyond belief!
Vegan Places to Avoid or Skip in Paris
It’s true that Paris has really scaled-up in the plant-based scene, but in the midst of the vegan explosion in the city – there are also a lot of average or even not good places that you should skip while in the city.
Here are the vegan places in Paris I would pass on that aren’t good or worth the hype:
Wild & the Moon
With several locations all over Paris, Wild & The Moon is a chain all over the city with special non-caffeinated lattes, smoothies, and general “health” food.
I used to come here several times with my ex-friend when we would meet near Opéra after work, but I found it vastly overrated. There are so many other better vegan places in Paris (cough, Land&Monkeys, cough) that simply don’t make trekking to a Wild & The Moon worth your time or money.
Judy’s Market
Known for its bright yellow awning, Judy’s Market is popular amongst locals given its close proximity to nearby universities and the gorgeous Jardin du Luxembourg.
Outside yellow awning at Judy’s Market in Paris; May 2022
While its convenient and cute on the outside, personally – I find both the coffee and food at Judy’s market to be overrated. It’s impressive that they make their own plant-based milk in house, but as a result – it often curdles in the coffee, especially iced-lattes, which ruins the very summery-vibe Judy’s Market already has.
It’s by no means bad, but I would rate it fair – and nothing more.
Love Juice Bar
As I live nearby this place and its one of the only co-working cafés with WiFi in the neighborhood – I was a frequent customer of Love Juice Bar during summer 2021. Having ordered practically everything off of the menu at least once, from their coffee, smoothie bowls, drinks, and toasts – it’s perfectly fine, but severely overpriced for what it is.
If you’re looking for a good cup of coffee, I strongly suggest skipping Love Juice Bar and going next door to the Bleu Olive – a true local coffee shop with even better vegan food options.
